Healthii People is pleased to have partnered with The LifeWise Centre for the recruitment of a General Psychologist to join their Warner's Bay clinic on a part time basis.
The Founding Directors, being passionate Psychologists, wanted to engage with people in therapy that was helpful and enriching, Lianne and Gwenda started working together in private practice more than 20 years ago and out of friendship, mutual respect , deep professional commitment and excitement in the transformative possibilities of their work and The LifeWise Centre was established.

The current psychologists at The Lifewise Centre are skilled in working with people of all abilities using the following treatment models:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - CBT
- Interpersonal Therapy - IPT
- Eye Movement Desensitization Re-programming - EMDR
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy - DBT
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - ACT
- Choice Theory – Reality Therapy - CTRT
- Play Therapy
- Schema Therapy
- Narrative Therapy
- Trauma-focused Therapy
As the successful General Psychologist will be:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology
- AHPRA Registration as a General or Clinical Psychologist
- Ability to obtain a Medicare provider number
- Capacity to build effective therapeutic relationships
- Ability to respond effectively to a range of presenting issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both within a team and autonomously; and
- Holds a current Working with Children’s Check
- NSW Police Check
- First Aid Certificate.
- Ability to obtain a NDIS Worker Screener Check.
- Building rapport with clients
- Passionate about facilitating positive change.
- A team player
- Proven experience working with clients across a range of presentations including anxiety disorders, behaviour difficulties, intellectual disabilities, mood disorders, ASD, ADHD and trauma.
